PiratesWave Radio began as a small passion project in a Tallinn apartment in 2010. What started as a weekend-only broadcast has grown into Estonia's most influential underground radio station, reaching thousands of listeners daily across the country and beyond.

2010

The Beginning

Founded by three music enthusiasts in a small apartment in Tallinn's creative district.

Going Digital

Launched our online streaming platform, expanding our reach beyond local audiences.

First Studio

Moved to our first professional studio space and expanded our broadcasting schedule to 24/7.

2018

Community Growth

Reached 25,000 regular listeners and held our first annual PiratesWave Festival.

Mari founded PiratesWave with a vision to create a platform for Estonia's underground electronic music scene. With a background in sound engineering and event management, she oversees the station's operations and creative direction.

Andres is responsible for the station's musical identity, curating playlists and discovering new talents. As a respected DJ in his own right, he brings over 15 years of experience in the Baltic electronic music scene.
